Complete your registration by selecting SUBMIT on the final registration page. Please use the Help button to the right for any assistance while using the Calendar.

Enter your correct college or university EMAIL address
when registering. You cannot register with a personal email address, and if you use some other institutional ID you will not receive confirmations or updates.
If you have not yet been assigned a college email address because your contract has not been completed, please email the contact person listed on the class description for information on how to register.

WebFOCUS Part II: WebFOCUS/InfoAssist Report Creation

Event Description:
WebFOCUS is the application replacing Hyperion, Brio and direct reporting off of Banner.

WebFOCUS Part II:  WebFOCUS/InfoAssist Report Creation

Designated Attendees:  All Finance/Accounting Staff across the CSCU system.
Skill Level:  No previous experience in WebFOCUS 

InfoAssist is the application within WebFOCUS that allows privileged users to create or run customized reports.  This training will start with the basics of report creation and the InfoAssist work environment. 

Reports will be created and modified using the following functions:
o Creating, saving, editing and duplicating reports
o Filter data to be displayed in reports using both static and dynamic filters and parameters 
o Exporting reports to various formats
o Explore and use the Reporting Option (RO) designed for Budgets
o Sharing reports with other staff
o Add new fields allowing for calculations and custom formatting (as time allows)
o Working with joining multiple Banner Tables (as time allows)

The goal is for finance users to be able to do the following:
Recognize and use basic terminology and concepts of WebFOCUS and InfoAssist 
o Navigate the WebFOCUS home page and InfoAssist interface
o Navigate to shared documentation and reports
Duplicate and modify existing reports to create new reports
Create new reports based on pre-defined data objects (Reporting Objects)

Training will be a maximum of 4 hours.

Pre-Class Preparation:
o Read Part I of the manual for a brief overview (the manual will be emailed after registration)
o PRINT Part III:  Exercises of the manual for ease of use in class (if possible)
o Come prepared with the following codes for your institution to do sample reports:
o operating fund code
o grant fund code
o expense account
o general ledger account (choose an account that will produce a small amount of results)
o Access to a second device (second monitor, iPad, tablet, etc.) allows easy use of WebEx viewing and separate work environment
o WebEx Link to the course meeting (this will be emailed directly after registration)
o Login to Enclave prior to training to confirm access is all set up. (may not be required for universities)
