Event Description:
(Pre-requisites: None)
Bring your own course materials, thoughts, ideas, and questions to these sessions, and you’ll get individualized assistance that will help you learn how to effectively use Blackboard and other kinds of technology, and understand better how these tools can help enhance the teaching and learning in your courses. These hands-on sessions are open to any faculty member (fulltime or adjunct) for any type of class (i.e., to "web-enhance" a classroom-based course, or to work on hybrid or fully online courses).
Working with one of the distance learning staff at your college, you can:
- Ask specific questions about the specific Blackboard tools you’re interested in, and learn how best to integrate their use into your own course.
- Learn about other types of technologies and strategies that can enhance your instructional content and activities, to help keep your students engaged and elicit more active learning in your courses.
- Explore course redesign options that can help simplify everyday course management tasks, such as grading, tracking student participation, communicating with students, encouraging interaction among students, etc.
Each session listed is limited to one, or a very limited number, of registrants, so you will get one-on-one instruction and feedback that is specifically relevant to your current level of experience and interests.
